"Harraga", a word which in Arabic means the illegal immigrant, in this case from Algeria to Sardinia, Italy. These teens are young Algerians, who feel disappointed and with no prospects in their country. They do not leave for extreme need, but for the pursuit of health and wellness that provides the West, greater freedom of movement, and maybe that glossy world transmitted by satellite TV. The boat awaits them on the beaches of Annaba a location overlooking the Mediterranean. The journey is accompanied by rap, ska and reggae Arabic music. Once arrived in Sardinia, they face the reactions and fears of the islanders to the phenomenon of the illegal landings: the images of similar tragic illegal landings in the island of Lampedusa are in the imagination of everyone.
